Eggs can increase risk of death
According to a study presented Wednesday in the United States, the middle-aged men who consume more than seven eggs per week are at greater risk of early death than those who maintain a healthier diet.
Whereas more than 20 years of studies, the report published by the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition also indicates that the men with diabetes that consumed eggs also increased their chances of dying considerably.
According to the doctors Luc Djousse and J. Michael Gaziano, of the school of medicine at Harvard, the man without diabetes can consume up to six eggs per week without involving any extra risk their health.
Being more specific, doctors said that consume less than six eggs per week does not affect the health, while a consumption of more than seven eggs weekly was associated with an increase of 23 per cent in the risk of death.
Equally, for those men with diabetes, any consumption of eggs was associated with death, and even there is some evidence of increasing the chances of a heart attack or a heart attack. Read the rest of this entry »
